Editing an event after creation
Where to change details, tickets, seating and the public page — and what’s locked after sales start.
Once an event exists, editing is split across a few purpose-built places instead of one long form. Here’s the map.
- 1
Event details
Use Edit for title, slug, description, cover image, dates and location.
- 2
Tickets, products & pricing
The event dashboard’s Tickets page — add, edit, activate/deactivate types, adjust prices, edit the seated pricing matrix.
- 3
Seat map
The Seating tab. Free to rearrange until seats sell, then the layout locks.
- 4
Public page
The Storefront tab controls sections and layout of the event page.
What locks when?
| Change | Before first sale | After sales exist |
|---|---|---|
| Title, description, images | Yes | Yes |
| Dates & location | Yes | Yes (tell buyers!) |
| Ticket prices | Yes | Yes (future sales only) |
| Seat map layout | Yes | Locked |
| Seating on/off toggle | Yes (draft only) | Locked |
Tip
Instead of deleting a ticket type that has sales, deactivate it — history and reporting stay intact.
