Scanning tickets at the door
Check attendees in by scanning their ticket QR codes, so only valid tickets get through — once.
On event day, check-in is about two things: letting valid ticket-holders through quickly, and making sure a ticket can’t be used twice. Scanning does both.
| Scan result | What happens |
|---|---|
| Valid, unused ticket | Checks the attendee in and marks it used. |
| Already scanned | Flags as used — the same code can’t get two people in. |
| Invalid code | Rejected — not a real ticket for this event. |
Tip
For seated events, the ticket carries its seat label, so staff can direct the guest to the right seat.
When a scan won’t work
- 1
Open Attendees
Go to the event’s Attendees page.
- 2
Search by name or email
Find the guest and verify they have a valid ticket.
- 3
Check in manually
This marks the ticket used just like a scan, so it can’t be reused.
Good to know
Also want to sell at the door? Set up POS devices. Note POS selling isn’t available for seated events.
