Every ticket type has an active switch — the clean way to control what’s on sale without ever deleting a type that has orders attached.

Heads up
Never delete a type that has sold tickets — deactivate it. Deleting would orphan orders and break reporting.

Prepare “Phase 2” and “VIP” types inactive, then flip them on exactly when you want.

Closing a tier early
Deactivate Early Bird to protect regular-price margin. Reactivate later if plans change.

Hiding a mistake
Deactivate a mispriced type, fix it, and reactivate — without disturbing existing orders.
Good to know
Deactivating doesn’t refund or cancel existing tickets — those buyers are still coming. Keep at least one type active while you want sales.
